Join Brown athletes, alumni, parents and friends at our annual regatta reception!
Our Team: The Brown men's crew celebrated the 4th of July Holiday Weekend in England with an outstanding performance at the Henley Royal Regatta, with is varsity eight winning the Ladies Plate Challenge Cup, and the freshmen eight finishing second in the Temple Challenge Cup. The Brown women's crew wrapped up competition at the 2009 NCAA Championship this year, finishing fifth overall in the country. The Bears turned in solid performances across the board, as each of their three boats finished in the top-10 nationally.
Our Event: The Head of the Charles Regatta, the world's largest two-day rowing event finishes up on Sunday, October 18th this year, and Brown men and women's crew will be representing again. Get on board and join the Brown Club of Boston and the Brown Parents Crew Association to cheer on our world class athletes. Have lunch and enjoy the races at the American Legion Marsh VFW Post by the Eliot Bridge on the Charles. Admission is free to alumni, parents, and friends; the fun starts at 11AM, rain or shine!
